Michael Vey: Battle of the Amphere Is an action packed novel by Richard Paul Evans. It starts out when Michael wakes up in a Peruvian villagers hut. The villagers show Michael another electric kid they've been taking taking care of named Tessa. Then the villagers take both Michael and Tessa to an old friend, Jaime. Jaime takes both of them to his camp which is quickly found by Elgen guards. Michael, Tessa, and Jaime escaped using teamwork. After they escaped Jaime contacted the voice using a radio, He told them they needed to save the rest of the Electroclan. Then Michael, Tessa, and Jaime made a plan to save the Electroclan. They went to save the Electroclan, but while they were saving them Wade was shot and killed. The Electroclan and Jaime went to Lima, where half of the Electroclan left. Only five had stayed: Michael, Ostin, Taylor, Jack, and McKenna. The Electroclan, Jaime and a man that came to help made a plan to destroy The Amphere, a high tech super yacht. While they were on the boat, Hatch found them and was unaware that the Electroclan had explosives. Then Hatch fled the boat because the other half of the Electroclan blew up one of the other Elgen boats. All of the Electrocan escaped. After that they contacted the voice and he gave them another task, and that,s where it ends.
I thought the theme was "when you work together you can accomplish almost anything." My first example is when the Elgen guards found Michael,Tessa, and Jaime at the camp. Michael, Jaime, and Tessa used teamwork to defeat them. "Put your hands up, Vey" (p. 54). My second example is when Michael, Jaime, and Tessa saved the Electroclan. "Ian, where are the others" (p. 108). My last example is when the Electroclan were destroying the Amphere, they used teamwork to plant the explosives and get out of there. "We all looked back to look at the explosion" (p. 228). These are the reasons why I think the theme is "when you work together you can accomplish almost anything.
I definitely recommend this book to readers. If yo like action books, this is for you. If you like good guy versus bad guy books, its for you. If you like super hero type books, its for you. I recommend you read the first two though, enjoy!

Book review #3: Michael Vey: Rise of the Elgen
Michael Vey: Rise of the Elgen is an action packed book by Richard Paul Evans. Michael Vey and the Electroclan are heading home after successfully shutting down the Elgen academy. they find out Michael's mom is in Peru by downloading information from grace, one of the electric kids after escaping there kidnappers. The Electroclan board a flight to the Amazon jungle to find Michael's mom. Meanwhile Hatch is preparing to take over the world by calling all his guards to his compound in Peru. After arriving in Peru, The Electroclan take a long journey through the jungle to the compound. They sneak in to the compound by using stolen uniforms to break Michael's mom out. Thanks to Michael's friends they were able to find her and Tanner, another electric kid being held prisoner. When they all try to escape Micheal and the group got separated and Michael was alone in the jungle. The second book ends when Michael gets kidnapped by Amazon tribesman. It leaves you with a cliff hangar!
The theme for this book is "Never Give Up". There are three examples in this book. The first one is when they first got back to Idaho, The Elgen were watching them."'We're being watched.'" (pg- 18) They could have got scare and given up but they didn't. The second example is when they were kidnapped and they could have given up right there, but they didn't. The third example is when Michael got captured and the rest of the Electroclan escaped. The rest of the Electroclan could have given up on him, but they didn't. These are the reasons why the theme is "Never Give Up"
I think other 7th graders should definitely read this book. It had lots of action. Also if you like superhero type books. Also if you like good guy/bad guy books. This is probably the best series I've ever read. If you like this book then I suggest you read the next one, Michael Vey: Battle of the Amphere

Here We Go!
It was night time in Seattle International Airport. We were on our way to Las Vegas, me, my dad, and my old step mom. It smelled like food. I saw people walking on their planes. On the plane there was a lot of chairs and a lot of people. It was hot inside the plane, outside the plane it was dark and rainy.
"Where are we going?" I asked, looking around the airport.
"Las Vegas," my dad told me."
"Where are we going to stay?"
"A hotel named 'Circus Circus,'" my dad told me.
"You'll like it there are lots of rides there," my dad added.
"Which ones?"
"Lots."
"Okay; where's Las Vegas?"
"In Nevada."
"Oh," I said boarding the plane.
"Our seats are right there," my dad said pointing to a row halfway down the plane.
"Okay," I said.
"We're going to a wedding."
"Okay."
"Here we go!" My dad said as the plane lifted off the ground.
"Whoa!" I said in excitement.
"I'm going to sleep," my dad told me.
"Okay."
"You should go to sleep too, it's a long ride."
"Here's a blanket and a pillow," handing me a blanket and a pillow he just pulled out of the top.
"Thank's dad"
About two hours later we arrived in Las Vegas. We drove to the hotel, I did like that hotel. Four years later I've flown on at least 16 more flights, most of them by my self. I wasn't scared because I went on my first plane. In fact I love flying.
